Commissioner Sean Connolly from the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs served as the keynote speaker.

The event, now in its third year, is designed to allow the community to express its gratitude and recognize the individuals, organizations and businesses that have served the United States and continue to do so through continued involvement and support of veterans services.

Veterans account for 13 percent of Frontier’s nationwide work force; 255 of those are employed in Connecticut. The company also uses a unique application process for veterans that consists of a video portal where they can upload information about themselves and participate in interviews while still deployed. Frontier also offers service discounts for military members and their families.

“We are honored to receive this award and to be recognized for our commitment to the men and women who serve our country in the military, said Paul Quick, senior vice president and general manager for Frontier’s Connecticut operations. “At Frontier, we employ our military, we support our military and we salute our military.”

In addition to Frontier receiving the Outstanding Employer Award, two Frontier employees who previously served in the military, Barry Mustaka (Marines) and James Johnson (Navy) were also recognized for their service to our country.
